Hours 1→12: the red arrow stands on this hour, drawn as its number-line shape.

Minutes 0→60: six tens fill one after another. Every set of ten is the same colour, with a triangle drawn round it so you can see it is one set. The sets then stand in their own number-line shape — 30 minutes is three tens: two on the bottom, one on top. Leftover minutes sit beside them in their own colour.

Seconds 0→60 crawl along the thin line at the bottom.
